T rex at large down under
New evidence discovered today in Australia proves that the Tyrannosaur Rex stalked the southern half of the globe — not just the north, as it was previously believed. The discovery of a hip bone fossil of a small T.Rex in the south of the country is the first finding of its kind.
T Rex lived about 70 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous period. Given the small size of the hip bone found, scientists believe the Australian version was only about a third the size of its northern equivalent and lived about 50 million years earlier.
One thing’s for certain…they both had HUGE teeth!
