Warmest winter ever
Environment Canada has officially reported that this has been the mildest and driest winter on record. Across the country, the average temperature has been four degrees above normal with 20 percent less precipitation.
El Nino, the climate pattern in the Pacific Ocean that influences global weather, was likely responsible for the milder weather, by climate change may also have played a role.
With Earth Day around the corner, now’s the time to read up on the things YOU can do to help stop global warming. Plus, check out the spring issue of POP! for loads of tips and suggestions for making a difference.
