POP! magazine and two lucky readers had the chance to experience some awesome VIP treatment at the Toronto Zoo. Thomas, 8, and Athena, 12, were whisked away on their own private golf cart to zip around the zoo's 710 acres of alpacas, orangutans and zebras, oh my!

THE BEARS ARE BACK! Our first stop was the polar bear exhibit and we were just in time for a feeding! The big white beasts were swimming around while munching down some salmon and halved watermelons. We had no idea that polar bears even LIKE watermelon but soon learned that when these northern giants aren't eating fish and other meaty products, they really enjoy feeding their sweet tooth with fruits like wild berries.

HERE FISHY FISHY! Next stop was the Great Barrier Reef exhibit where we lost ourselves in the over 1000 fish swimming in a 32,000 litre tank that was over 23 feet long! There we beautiful jelly fish, cute Australian Sea Horses and live coral reef exhibits.

KIDS ZOO! After a short but sunny rain shower we made our way over to the Kids Zoo were we were greeted by a real live alpaca and his trainer. We had a chance to pet the soft, fuzzy guy before heading into the mini zoo where we hopped with bunnies, pretended to be turtles and squealed with the little brown pigs. Oink Oink!

MONKEYING AROUND! The highlight of the trip had to be the Orangutans. They were housed in the humid Indomalaya exhibit which is also home to the Reticulated python, the Green Water Dragon and the Malaysian painted turtle. We were lucky enough to witness another feeding and watched as these smart primates devised ways to poke peanut butter out of a locked cage and how to successfully eat their frozen fruit cup while dangling high above the ground.

Giraffes, zebras, rhinoceroses, the Przewalski's horse, sugar gliders, wallabies and kangaroos, plus the many peacocks that roam freely around the grounds, are just some of the creatures we got to see.

Plan a trip to your local zoo and let us know what animals YOU had a chance to visit!
