Your eye colour (and how well you see) is a trait you inherit from parents. The most common colour is brown and the least common is green. Rare genetic mutations can even lead to unusual eye colours, like black, red, and violet—or one blue and the other brown! (Actress Kate Bosworth and singer David Bowie are famous examples of this.)


Imagine being over 8 feet tall? Well it may be rare, but it’s not impossible. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the tallest man alive is Leonid Stadnyk of the U.S who stands at 8'6". The tallest person of all time was Robert Wadlow who died in 1940 at a height of 8'11. In both cases, their height was the result of a medical condition and not an inherited trait.


“I think therefore I am” is a famous statement that was made by the French philosopher Rene Descartes in the 17th century. At that time, the mechanics of the mind were of much interest in the world of science, and he argued that if you are able to think, it proves that you exist. Makes sense to us!


By the time you are fully grown, you will have about 206 bones; 32 teeth; 600 muscles; and dozens of organs that function together so that you can play, think, work, talk and BE the wonderful person that you are.


Emotions are what make you feel differently day to day, and sometimes moment to moment. Your emotions can be triggered by something like a sad song or a fleeting smell, or you might just wake up feeling a certain way for no reason at all. But remember, whether you’re feeling cheerful, grumpy, lonesome or blue, no emotion is ever a bad one. In fact, without them life would be pretty dull so you might as well enjoy the ride!
