Have you ever wondered where the brilliant colours and magnificent marine life in Finding Nemo are found? Well, this movie was set in the largest coral reef in the world – the Great Barrier Reef. Just off the coast of Australia and stretching over 3000km, you can actually see it from space!

Two million tourists visit the reef annually and enjoy the beautiful golden beaches of the tropical islands. The abundance of marine life includes coral, rays, dolphins, tropical fish, birds and reptiles. The giant clams and sea turtles live over 120 years!

Unfortunately, the Great Barrier Reef is in great danger due to the continuous hot weather. Wild storms are the only hope for the coral, as they will stir up the colder deeper water.
