The people you hire for your business will have a huge impact on how your business runs, its reputation, if it grows, and customer satisfaction. This means having a quick chat via the phone or Skype etc, just to get a feel for the person, their salary expectations, when they can start, and whether they can hold a conversation. This will allow you to weed out people that don’t meet your criteria without making time for them to come all the way into the office- tying up you or your HR team.
Now that you’ve narrowed your search down, it’s time to test these people and see if they will fit in well with your company culture. Many people get nervous when it comes to recruitment tests, which is why you should try which is a fun, interesting way for potential employees to show off their skill sets.
Since they play games instead of answering tricky questions, they’re more likely to relax and give you a more accurate result, so you can weigh up their strengths and weaknesses, personality type, and mental abilities. Following this method of recruitment will allow you to hire the best people for your business, and make it far less likely that you’ll be stuck with a staff member who simply doesn’t work the way you need them to.
